Defending NASCAR champion Chase Elliott thinks Bristol is a bucket list track | WJHL
Bristol, TN – NASCAR drivers will start arriving for the triple Bristol Motor Speedway title on Thursday. And defending NASCAR champion Chase Elliott calls it one of his favorite racing weekends of the season.
Elliott, who remembers coming to Bristol as a child to watch his father’s race, has always considered the world’s fastest half-mile oval to be one of his favorite circuits… season and now he’s urging those who haven’t seen a race to make Bristol a part of your bucket list.
“The Bristol race is always my favorite event, it’s an event I would tell a close friend to go and see how it should be to go and see this race before I get the chance to be there even though I didn’t go and enjoy a race just a big event a lot of energy I’m glad it’s in the playoffs I’m glad it’s a cut run and just happy to go to East TN and hopefully enjoy a dry Saturday night in Bristol.
It was also announced today that Bristol Motor Speedway will host a pair of night races featuring the first stock car circuit in 2022.
One will be in his popular dirt setup on Easter weekend, Sunday evening, April 17, and the other will be his all-concrete setup as the host of a NASCAR playoff round on Saturday night, September 17.
