Mountain Metro returns to full capacity on buses in Colorado Springs

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colorado – Mountain Metro will return to full capacity on buses on Friday, May 28.
There will be no change in service at this time and current service levels will continue. Despite the transition to full capacity of buses, the mask mandate will be applied to all public transport. As per CDC and Federal Transit Administration guidelines, all members of the public using public transportation must wear a mask covering their mouth and nose with the following exceptions:
- A child under 2 years old;
- A disabled person (link is external) who cannot wear a mask, or cannot safely wear a mask, due to disability as defined by the Americans with Disabilities Act (42 USC 12101 and following.);
- A person for whom wearing a mask would create a risk to occupational health, safety or work, as determined by workplace safety guidelines or federal regulations.
MMT’s ADA paratransit services will also be operating at full capacity.
