NC Transportation Museum’s Brew & Choo Festival returns August 13 – Salisbury Post
SPENCER- The NC Transportation Museum is preparing fun and enjoyable times for the return of the annual Brew & Choo craft beer festival.
Visitors are invited to hang out and enjoy various games and activities while adults aged 21 and over sample local and regional craft beers in the festival area set up in the Back Shop. The Brew & Choo Craft Beer Festival takes place August 13 from 4 to 9 p.m., with most activities taking place indoors.
Those wishing to purchase tickets will be able to choose between festival entry only and festival plus train ride options. Train passengers will be able to taste a selection of beers brewed especially for the event which will only be available for tasting on board the train. This year on the train ride, both specialty beers will be supplied by New Sarum Brewery.
After the train ride, passengers can then keep their Brew & Choo souvenir beer tasting glass to take home to remember the evening. Train travel times are 4:00 p.m., 5:15 p.m., 6:30 p.m., and 7:45 p.m., and seating is limited, so it’s best to buy your tickets in advance to ensure you get a seat. place on this one-of-a-kind train ride.
Family activities will include a variety of lawn and ball games. Food trucks will be on hand to offer tasty dishes that pair perfectly with craft beer. Will be present Roadway Dawgs, The Old 97 Kettlecorn Company, The Chill Shak and Mottzarellas.

Ticket prices start at $7 for festival admission only for adults 21 and older, and free festival entry for visitors under 21. Combo tickets that include the festival and the train ride are $22 for those 21 and over ($20 for under 21) for table seating and $19 for adults 21 and over ($17 for those under 21) for coach seats. Coach and table seats are purchased individually.
Parties wishing to purchase seats together at the same table are encouraged to purchase under one ticket order to ensure seating together. If one party does not purchase all of the tickets at a table, another party may purchase the remaining tickets at the table. Ticket prices do not include taxes or fees. Participants must present a valid photo ID to consume alcohol. No alcohol will be served to anyone who does not show proper identification.
Brew & Choo is presented by the NC Transportation Museum Foundation, with all proceeds from the event benefiting the museum.
