NOPD: 3 shootings in less than 30 minutes Monday evening across the city
NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) – More gun violence erupted in New Orleans on Monday night as the NOPD reported three seemingly unrelated shootings that all occurred approximately within half an hour of one. ‘other.
The first report of an incident in the 2800 block of South Rocheblave Street. The NOPD reported that a man was shot and injured at the Central City location and was taken to hospital by private transport. The call was received at 8:42 p.m.
Then at 9:02 p.m., a call was received regarding a shooting in Saint-Roch. This incident occurred in the 2300 block of rue Derbigny Nord where a woman was shot dead and taken to hospital for medical treatment via emergency medical services.
The final call came a minute later at 9:30 p.m. where a man was shot multiple times at the Lakefront intersection of Leroy Johnson and Lakeshore drives.
EMS transported the victim to a local hospital for treatment for his injuries.
