Two men arrested for armed robbery of elderly man and woman at knifepoint in Kissimmee Walmart parking lot
The Osceola Sheriff’s Office arrested two men for robbing an elderly man and woman at knifepoint from a Kissimmee Walmart located at 904 Cypress Parkway on Monday afternoon.
Just before 4 p.m. Monday, an elderly man and woman had just finished shopping at Walmart and were inside their car ready to leave, when a man suddenly confronted the elderly driver in the car, threatening him with a knife. The suspect then doused the man with pepper spray, reaching into the car and pulling money out of his pocket. The second suspect approached the passenger side of the car, opened the car door and forced the woman out of her car where he then threatened her with a knife. The two men then entered the car and began to search the vehicle.
The two elderly victims began screaming for help in the parking lot, which caught the attention of individuals in the parking lot. A number of individuals ran towards the elderly couple for help, prompting the suspects to flee.
One of the suspects ran into the nearby Dollar Tree, but was followed by one of the men who had run to help the elderly couple. The man removed the suspect’s ski mask from his face, then took the knife and the suspect’s shoes,
The suspect then ran out of the Dollar Tree and into a nearby wooded area just east of the Walmart.
Patrol units from the Osceola Sheriff’s Office established a perimeter around the area and spotted the
suspects walking near the line of wood. The two suspects have been formally identified by the victim and the witness.
The suspects have been identified as Devonte Jamarion Anderson, 18, and Elijah Barry Tsunami Redwood, 17.
The two suspects were taken into custody for armed robbery with a weapon, battery on no one
65 or older, aggravated assault, armed robbery and petty theft.
